The Rotary Youth Exchange program is the premier exchange program, offering support through the worldwide Rotary network with peer support, counsellors, organisational and financial assistance.
Rotary Youth Exchange students spend a year living with up to four host families and attend school in a different country. The students learn a new way of living, a great deal about themselves, and maybe even a new language. They are an ambassador, teaching people they meet about their country, culture, and ideas.
More than 8,000 young people each year have experiences like these through Rotary Youth Exchange. It’s the opportunity of a lifetime but homes are needed to host these students.
Can you help offer a young person this amazing experience? You don’t need to have teenagers at home, but you do need to be prepared to get involved, and show the student your New Zealand. We need four Club members to host a student for three months each, from July 2017. The Club will provide a mentor for the student and they participate in several national exchange student events, including a 3 week tour of the South Island in November.
