2016 Sir Paul Callaghan Eureka Symposium
POSTED 12 AUGUST 2016
For the fifth time a group of dedicated RCW members led by John Emanuel have organised the 2016 Sir Paul Callaghan Eureka Awards Symposium to be held in Wellington on Thursday 8 September 2016.
At the Symposium 12 fantastic undergraduate and secondary school students will demonstrate their passion about the value of science and technology for New Zealand.
Their presentations will cement their places as future leaders of science in New Zealand.
The students follow in the footsteps of the dozens of wonderful contestants who have participated since 2012 and have come away enriched by the experience.
The Symposium also includes the 4 Scholarship winners who just missed out on reaching the finals. This is a very special event initiated by the Rotary Club of Wellington and now recognised as making an important contribution nationally to STEM education.
The Symposium is open to the public and Rotarians are urged to come along and enjoy a special afternoon. More details about this year's Eureka Awards are available on the Eureka website www.eureka.org.nz
